How much networking do you do as a freelancer? My Frankly Freelance guest this month is lovely Charlotte Pirie, a website optimisation specialist from Stevenage, UK who shares how she has built her business in 7 months using the power of networking groups.
As a mum of two young daughters, Charlotte previously was employed part-time in a corporate role which she found didn’t give her the flexibility she needed. In late 2021 Charlotte’s business, Run Marketing, was born.
Charlotte specialises in helping small businesses to increase traffic to their websites and also convert more sales through their web pages, using her 10 years of experience in e-commerce management, search engine optimisation (SEO), conversion rate optimisation (CRO) and online marketing.
During our chat Charlotte and I discussed her journey as a freelancer so far, including:
✹ Taking the leap from corporate to freelance – when Charlotte knew she was ready
✹ How Charlotte won her first client
✹ Juggling motherhood and a freelance business
✹ Growing one-time projects into longer-term retainers
✹ Charlotte’s biggest challenge so far
✹ Charlotte’s top tips for new freelancers
Thank you so much for being my guest, Charlotte – and all the very best with your freelance journey 🔥
